Did another inshore trip on Sunday with John Cukro and his son Ian from NY. Two very experienced anglers who did a great job keeping swarms of dogs off the jigs and managed a bakers dozen of brown gold. All fish were on the smaller side but still great table fare. Regardless of some decent catching, we still had to contend with more dogs than I have seen in many years....and they are not just in one place...they are everywhere. On the late day tide change we moved inside and hammered some seriously big Knothead Seabass on light tackle. Limited out within 30 minutes and we left them biting. Great trip for sure and the weather was perfect. Also to note....tons of whales sighted today and saw many huge schools of sandeels on virtually every drop. Also marked some tuna in one area...not small one's either.
Next trips will be this Thursday, Friday - Sunday if we can get the right weather and enough interest. Thursday will definitely be inshore for local Seabass & Fluke which we left biting...$125pp, full day trip, weather permitting. Friday - Sunday not sure yet....really want to make an offshore run to Coxes but I need enough interest to do it. Check in midweek for trip status and updates....
